Great content is when you are affected by it. Great content has heart. It’s when you learn something and it’s when you feel glad afterwards for seeing it. It’s when you want time afterwards to think about it.
Great content is what the audience remembers, consciously or subconsciously, whether they remember if it came from you or not.
Great content is not ephemeral. Our great content has a long half-life.
Who determines what great content is? The audience. We build features to truly know how audiences are responding.
Can a piece of content be great but ephemeral, forgettable? I don’t know if it deserves the ‘great’ descriptor. It’s probably just good. There’s platforms out there for the short half-life posts. They will serve a purpose for a time. But not for all time.
